MCA Alberta offers education and training programs through a variety of learning opportunities designed to meet unique mechanical and service contractor needs. This is accomplished through member meetings, short seminars and full day courses. These feature guest presenters on broad industry topics, product specific technical training, HR and other soft skills training, business skills and succession planning.

Programs are designed specifically for owners and senior management, service managers and technicians, HR leaders, frontline field and office staff to keep the entire team current and to help grow your career.

The Alberta Trade Contractor Council Present: Prompt Payment Seminar Series

3 – 1 hour sessions held September 6, 7 & 8th, 2022

10:30 am to 11:30am each day (may run longer to address questions).

These sessions will provide detail required to help your business prepare to successfully operate within the rules of prompt payment legislation. Invoicing protocols, forms and notices, the process of adjudicating disputes, and what you need to know before this legislation is enacted on August 29th, 2022.

This legislation will dramatically impact the manner in which invoices are rendered, and will set mandatory time periods in which payments must be made to all parties involved in the construction chain.
