INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP – Orientation & On-Boarding: In the New Reality
August 18 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am$50.00 – $65.00
When employees are not a fit for their job or the organization, the decision is made to sever the employment relationship. But, before that choice is made, we can communicate our expectations and support employees in turning things around.
In this practical workshop, you will gain tools and techniques in how to manage this process with employees on your team.
Upon completion of this session HR staff, supervisors, and managers will be able to:
- Use best practices for setting goals/expectations with employees and holding them accountable – both for employees working from home and those who are at the traditional work environment
- Apply the steps of progressive discipline and document performance matters appropriately (including templates)
- Distinguish between termination for cause and without cause
- Terminate an employee effectively (when and how to have the difficult “firing” meeting)
