MCA Alberta offers education and training programs through a variety of learning opportunities designed to meet unique mechanical and service contractor needs. This is accomplished through member meetings, short seminars and full day courses. These feature guest presenters on broad industry topics, product specific technical training, HR and other soft skills training, business skills and succession planning.
Programs are designed specifically for owners and senior management, service managers and technicians, HR leaders, frontline field and office staff to keep the entire team current and to help grow your career.
“I have taken both Project Management and Construction law courses through the MCA and these courses are a must for anyone starting in a management role. Since then, I have enrolled my staff to complete as well.”

MCA Alberta AGM
September 17, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm MDTFree
Dear MCA Members,
Your association has spent the last 5 months seeking answers and providing information and new leads to help resolve many of member concerns and questions as we have all worked through the realities of a pandemic. Now we would appreciate if you could help us out with an hour of your time.
Yes, it is time for the MCA – Annual General Meeting and your ability to attend has never been easier. Under normal circumstances the AGM would have been held at the end of May at the Provincial Conference. We have decided that we must now hold a virtual AGM.
All you will need to do is register here, right now, and then log in between 1:15pm and 1:30pm, Thursday, September 17, 2020 and you will be a registered voter at the MCA – 2020 AGM.
The meeting Agenda is here MCAA AGM Agenda
The bylaws are here 200819 MCA By-laws (FNL DFT)
We have also been asked to update the associations Bylaws to be compliant with the Society’s Act. We have taken this opportunity to also add more clarity to the contractor member description. The updates are highlighted in the attached draft bylaws. Please review this document and if you have any comments, issues, concerns or recommendations for changes, please forward these to both me ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) and your President, Mark Schendel ( email@example.com ) before September 10, 2020.
Please plan to participate in the MCA – 2020 AGM. Your support has never been more important and, likewise, your association continues to be very important to your business. The AGM will provide insight into how and why its important!
We look forward to seeing you all, via zoom, September 17, 2020.
