This is accomplished through member meetings, short seminars and full day courses. These feature guest presenters on broad industry topics, product specific technical training, HR and other soft skills training, business skills and succession planning.

This series of training seminars focus on topics that affect the work that hydronic installers, maintenance, and service contractors need to know or consider while working on hydronic systems. Sessions are one hour currently on zoom.

Instructor: Dave Hughes
Dave has over 40 years of experience in the plumbing and heating industry and has worked with gas, boiler systems, solar thermal water heating systems, radiant floor heating systems, hydronic system controls, and residential and commercial hydronic system design. He has served 4 years as chair of the Canadian Hydronics Council, and sits on the CSA B214 Technical Committee. Dave is past chair of the Plumbing Sub-Council within Alberta’s Safety Codes Council. Dave has recently retired after 27 years, from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) after leading and instructing within the Plumber, Gasfitter, and SteamFitter-Pipefitter program areas. Active in the hydronics industry, Dave spearheaded the creation and implementation of the CHC Certified Hydronic Designer and Hydronic Installer programs.
