MCA Alberta offers education and training programs through a variety of learning opportunities designed to meet unique mechanical and service contractor needs. This is accomplished through member meetings, short seminars and full day courses. These feature guest presenters on broad industry topics, product specific technical training, HR and other soft skills training, business skills and succession planning.
Programs are designed specifically for owners and senior management, service managers and technicians, HR leaders, frontline field and office staff to keep the entire team current and to help grow your career.
“I have taken both Project Management and Construction law courses through the MCA and these courses are a must for anyone starting in a management role. Since then, I have enrolled my staff to complete as well.”

Service Contractors Round Table
November 19, 2018 @ 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm MST
FreeMCA Update – Gold Standard Program Overview
MCA Alberta President Tim Padfield and Executive Director Russ Evans will present the MSC Gold Standard Program, provide details on current Gold Standard Contractors, Gold Standard Certified Technicians, all requirements and accomplishments. We will also discuss the relationships developed with suppliers, manufacturers and BOA. This will lead into a member round table discussion.
There will be opportunity to give input to current program. Please let us know what is missing. How can the MCA support you in moving forward with becoming Gold Standard?
If you are a service contractor, please plan to attend or have a company representative attend this meeting and come prepared to participate. Your input is important and will help guide the association forward as the board of directors prepare their strategic priorities. The format for discussions will be determined based on the participants.
